VER-O-PESO (2011)

(PART I)

'Ver-o-Peso' has been renowned as one of the seven Brazilian wonders, placed in the Amazon region, in the heart of Para's state capital of Belem.

Near eighty tons of river and sea fish are commercialized there per day, five thousand people in up to thousands tents are set up offering mainly fresh food, imported groceries, from meals to dried fish, herbs and crafts in one of the busiest markets in the country.

Although Brazil's rich diversity is contagious, a kind of magic and mysterious atmosphere, people in unhygienic and deplorable working conditions are visible for locals and foreign tourists, so many fishermen are subordinate to work up to 10 hours a day carrying out tons of fish over their heads in heavy wooden boxes amid litter spread all over the market, where hundreds of vultures overflies garbage and its untasted smell.

(PART II)

A rare break moment could be resumed in some strange places they take a nap in the surroundings.
